Lower Intake Manifold

On my 88 Na SE, there is a line that comes off the back of the lower intake manifold. It's a big line but I'm guessing it must be vacuum line. Is this the line that went to the stock air pump?

Considering there are quite a few lines on the back of the intake manifold, it's hard to say. Most likely the air pump hose or the brake booster hose. If the car starts, runs, and idles, and you removed the emissions, it's the air pump hose.

as in by the firewall back side? If I remember correctly on mine I had a nipple on the back side of the LM that went to UM or maybe it was TB area.

Along the side of it.. I had Air supply to the cat just to the right of that a coolant to the turbo, to the right of that ACV. If you're talking like inside which would be covered by UM. I'ld have to sit and think about it

It's not the brake booster hose. It's on the firewall side. It's the largest hose on the Lower Intake Manifold. It's large enough to be a coolant hose.

So if I have removed all emissions items. I do not need to cap this line? It's an awfully big line..

I am almost positive it is the air pump line, the guy who had the car before me took off the air pump. Do I need to cap this line is really my question.. It would need quite a cap

Probably talking about the Split Air Pipe that leads to the Cat from the back of the Manifold.

does it come up from under the throtle body? It may be the coolant line that goes to the back of the TB. Thats the biggest hose back there that I can think of at the moment.

Sounds like it might be the split air pipe?
