Lower boost after rtek 1.7?
About the car:
S4 TII, 14k on Mazda reman, 3" RB turbo back, walbro 255, rtek 1.5/1.7, cone air filter
Just wondering what the best (not evil, like others say) forum thought. :-)
Before I would hit 9-10psi of boost with the mods above w/ the rtek 1.5, no problems.
I just switched to the rtek 1.7 (and 720 secondaries). Now I'm only hitting about 5psi. Car idles fine, no other problems that make themself shown. I was thinking small boost/vac leak, but I havn't looked yet.
Thanks for any input in advance.

I doubt the Rtek did anything to cause this. Maybe when you installed the 720 injectors, you forgot to hook up a vacuum line or whatever. Go back over everything and make sure every electrical connection is hooked up, every vacuum hose attached, and every intake hose, from turbo to intake, is tightened.

By the way, I have 2 ECUs. One with 1.5 and one with 1.7. I'm thinking of swapping the ECUs as a troubleshooting step. Of course I'm still going to look for vac leaks.

Back to the problem, I found out what it was. Stupid me forgot to tighten one of the hose clamps. Boost is back up to 10psi. Yah for me. :-)

They are very quick. The had my ECU for at the most a day and a half. Let's just say I ordered my 720cc injectors the day before I sent them my ECU. I got the ECU back before the injectors arrived!

Thats with shipping both ways. Like Crazyt said, they didn't have the ECU very long. According to Fedex they got my ECU late Friday and I got an email saying it shipped back to me on Monday.
