Lower Boost by adjusting wastgate

Here's one question I think many of you may never heard anyone asking...

I need to lower the boost on my S4 T2. Does anyone know if there are something I can "turn" to lower the boost? I am using OEM wastegate on my T2.

I know other OEM wastegate has an adjuster screw allowing someone to dial up or down the boost. Wonder if this feature available on the T2.

Worse case... if I can use the wastegate to dial down, what will be my other options?

THANKS

unfortunately there is no way to "adjust" the wastegate. all you can do is port it. once you port it well enough, you can go buy boost controller and adjust your boost levels from there.

Only about a million times around here...

The stock wastegate is not adjustable, and it wouldn't help you if it was. I'm presuming you've seen a boost increase because of exhaust and/or intake mods, and this is because of the tiny stock wastegate port. The only solution is to remove the turbo and enlarge it, preferably fitting a much bigger wastegate flap at the same time.

No, there is no miracle "turn a ****" that will lower boost (unless we're talking about that gimmicky A'PEXi exhaust butterfly valve!).

If you want less boost, you need to restrict the intake / exhaust / engine more.

Run a smaller air filter...
Run a restrictor plate in the exhaust...

Those will all work.

i got a bigger inlet pipe and opened up the airbox and now i see the boost reaching 8psi on wild open throttle. i am trying to keep things under control here. guess the turbo is coming out of car and the dremel is going to put to work...

8psi is fine. Unless you're doing exhaust mods soon I's stop worrying.
