Low pressure rad caps.

Does anyone know where I can find a low pressure radiator cap? Like 5 or 7lbs. I am gonna be running the evans coolant and would like to still have some pressure but I would like it to be fairly low.
Thanks
Jeremy

how do they expect you to convert your mild pressure system to a low pressure system?

if you do manage to find a low pressure cap it will bypass and dump coolant out, maybe too much causing air pockets to form.

i never really did trust this stuff, has anyone even used this **** before? sounds like just another gimmick to me...."as seen on TV!"

The only way I can think of: Try going to any autoparts stores. There seem to be only a few different sizes of rad caps. Isolate the RX-7 size cap and see if there are any of the same size that are lower pressure. I know that worked for me with an aftermarket Howe rad.

I will be running Evans, I have it already just need to put it in. I figured I would do it now since I am installing a fresh rebuild. The system is completly dry so it is the prime time. I cant really argue one way or the other as I have not used it yet. From what I have read this is suppose to be some good stuff. People on here who have used it give it high marks. I cant seem to find like 7lb cap though .

Yeah, I am in the same situation...new rebuild that is dry inside....

However, I am affraid to put the evans in at first .... I am going to run distilled water for the first few hundred miles. I don't want to find out I have a leak....at 27 bucks a gallon....once I put it Evans in...it isn't going anywhere!

A good read.

How much did you enlarge your system?

From Q&A on evans site
Question: Is NPG a "DRAIN AND FILL" product?
Answer: If your system already has the effective flow rates needed to run with NPG, the answer is YES. Unfortunately, most vehicles, with the possible exception of large heavy duty engines and motorcycles, need some sort of modifications to establish the necessary flow rates required for effective operation with NPG.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question: How much NPG will I need for my system?
Answer: While these numbers may vary slightly; Small Block engines typically require a minimum of 4 gallons while Big Block engines require at least 6 gallons.

Remember our systems run very hot what have you done to enlarge cooling system capacity and to ensure sufficient flow rates?
