Unhappy Low Oil Pressure

I have consistently had low oil pressure, no matter the weight oil I use (Have tried 10W30, 10W40, and currently am using 20W50). It runs at about 15-30 idle, and it never crests 60psi, only time it reaches 60psi is on cold start. Going premix, but that is only a bandaid. What to do, or is it fine? Mazda factory rebuilt motor less than 5k on it.

get an aftermarket mechanical oil pressure gauge to verify that your stock gauge is working properly first...

the front seal might be bad. whatever it's called. common problem. I never see more then 15psi at idle with an aftermarket gauge but I get 60 at 3k which is more important then idle readings.

front cover O ring failure...

usually the oil pressure is about 15 PSI low, and drops as RPM increases. So you might be at 45 when at 2000 RPM and it would drop to like 30 at 3K or 4k RPM.

With the ecentric shaft valve failure, usually the oil pressure is down 15-20 PSI the whole range of RPM.

The thing that is weird is that he is saying that he has almost 60 PSI when cold starting. It should almost never hit that cold, even when running perfect factory tune unless something has been modded on the car.

The factory oil pressure bypass is at 60psi... so that seems like something has been replaced or changed.

Or a bad sender
