Low Gas Light doesn't work...??
Well just bought the car a couple months ago and really havent gone much below a 1/4 of a tank..
This last week i figured i would drive untill the light came on just to see how many more KM's i could get out of a tank..
Well next thing i know the needle is on empty and my car stalls 3 blocks away from my house...
How do i go about fixing the add fuel light? All the lights turn on when i start the car..
Do i have to resolder them all or what?
Thanks

If all the lights turn on with the key in the ON position the problem probably isnt the light in the warning cluster. The problem may be the fuel level sender in the gas tank.

It is really easy to get to, just un latch the back carpet, push it forward and the fuel pump assembly is on the driver''s side. There are like 4 screws then, and then something like 8 smaller screws on the pump assembly.

If you do attempt it be careful not to strip the screws, there will probably be alot of rust and crud on them. I believe RETed was going to look into getting allen screws for them.

Pulling the pump/sender assembly isn't bad.
Mine doesn't work either, so you're definitely not alone. I don't plan to fix it... I'm looking at that side of the cluster often enough anyway (temperature, oil pressure). I've just accepted that if the needle gets horizontal, the car will stop running. I really don't want to test it. A fuel light... *shrug* I'm not a big fan of idiot lights (with a few exceptions like the ADD COOLANT light - that's not duplicated on any gauge). My other car lights up the "Temp" light about the time I hear coolant boiling out of the overflow tank.

Pos' question for Icemark??
My fuel warning light comes on when I get down to about 2 gallons left in the tank. But it doesn't always work. Some input is needed about whether it's the sending unit or something else, bad solder joints in the CPU are a posibility.
Hopefully Icemark or someone else will know.
