Sure it is a GXL???

The Base models and Sports got the ultra lightweight carpet which has a very thin pile.

I suppose its possible that your car also got light weight carpet if your car had options to make the car heavy like rear seats or a auto tranny

Hmm, well I have seen one ebay seller selling the light weight carpet (I got a front set for my vert). He normally sells for around $119 or $125 for the front and says it is for a GXL.

But most places didn't know there was a difference.

I am surprised that your GXL has it. I had not heard of any GXL models getting the lightweight carpet.

Do you have the other light weight things??? like the alum spare tire, and the alum hood???

The bottom one is the normal GXL/Luxury carpet found on the S4 SE/GTU/GXL/turbo/Convertible models.

Its hard to tell in your pictures, but it does look like the top pictures are the lightweight carpet.

The 86-87 Sport and Base models were the only ones I have ever seen stock with the light weight carpet.

I'll try and take a picture later of it. So you can see if it looks the same.

Now the S5 carpet also had a short ****, but it was a very heavy carpet with a very dense tuf.
