For the love of gawd

My starter died on me recently, and I ended getting a new one for my auto. The car was down for 2 days. Now, it'll crank but won't fire. It'll crank fast enough to fire, but just won't go. This is seriously stressing me out and I've had to recharge my battery twice, and use my moms car to charge it up. My fuel pump is working because I end up smelling fuel after I stop turning the key. I've tried doing a compression test, but apparently I don't have the socket to take out the spark plug. Can someone please help me?

The car is flooded. Get a spark plug socket, pull both leading plugs and then pour about an ounce of oil into each hole. Rotate the engine by hand and then repeat a few times. Now reinstall the plugs and try to start the car.
