To be loud or not to be loud. That is the question.

I have got a nice exhaust set up and its loud. What I was wondering is should I make it quieter or keep it loud. I like the way it sounds and everything but doesn't it seem to get old. And everyone that doesn't like loud cars that you know want you to bring "the other car". To be loud or not to be loud.

well i like he quiet and loud. after a while the loudness gets on my nerves. like traveling 300 miles and hearing that constant tone in your ear. but... i do like it when i get on it and it starts popping. just look that rotor sound. so im in the middle. not to loud not 2 quiet

I wish I had a decent sounding exhaust. Seems that with the FC it's either quiet or too loud..

Honda's dont think I can spank them until I do becuase my car is so quiet..

For full exhaust, my car is quiet below 5000 rpms. But the second I got WOT, it just screams. Scares the crap outta rice boys when you just jump on it and the exhaust starts yellin' and you just walk away like it's nothin

I think its better to have a sleeper car than to have every body be afraid of you right off the batt let them learn the seven's true character the hard way and laugh it up afterwards.

Planned Exhaust:

RB Header/Collector ~> RB TII Presilencer ~> Custom Corksport 2.5-inch catback (w/ optional silencer)

I'm trying to keep as much performance as I can, while keeping it quiet for what I have. With a streetport, headers are a LOT of gain, so I really want them. Presilencer to keep it quiet (I have no emissions, so no need for Split-air pipe, hence the TII version) the corksport is a nice, thru muffler, w/ an optional silencer, that I'll be taking advantage of.

I'm all for loud as long as its not your daily driver. It would get old to drive a loud *** car everyday .. and i know my neighbors would want to kill me if I fired up my TII every other nite on my midnight trips to go get laid. So i take my nice and quiet Stock N/A

I agree that there is nothing like letting all the rices know whats up. After 4K at WOT my car SCREAMS! I just love seeing that puzzled look on their faces when they hear that beautiful sound coming from my car. But don't get me wrong, after 5 or so hours on the highway it does start to get a little annoying( but thats what my silencers are for. HEHEHE)

I am running a Mindtrain Race header, RX-7 Fashion Presilencer and the Corksport...

I drive 350 Miles from home to work every weekend one way and that setup was to loud to use the stock stereo, cellphone or talk to a passenger and I had a numb left ear. It sounded great but I noticed a few people covering their ears when I passed them at 4k. I run that stretch of road at 85-95 MPH and running 3500-4100 rpm.... Needless to say the first day after running the setup I ordered the silencer for the cork sport... It is still loud when I get on it but a nice purr at cruising speed.... I can always pull the silencer if I want to hause Hundu racers to **** their pants... With out the silencer I couldn't get another car to even run with me and play tag.... the ricer boys would look the other way as I passed until I put the silencer in....

How do the Dual Apex'i N1's sound without silencers???

There's your answer!

But seriously Charles, you need to figure out what you want, because you'll get many different opinions here from one end of the scale to the other.

Some people like to let everyone know they're coming from a block away, others prefer to keep there performance a suprise. Note that the constabulary tends to hold a dim view of those in the first category...

Hahaha, Loud it aint all that bad, in Maine it scares the **** out of the wildlife so you never find a deer mysterously appearing on your hood at 60mph. And I know where Rpeck lives, I go there every weekend to wakeboard with a bunch of friends. It is a damn nice place with some cool people, never seen any fc's down there but maybe I aint looking.

It's totally up to what you like. I like loud but I do not like the resonance that comes with some loud exhausts. Most of you know what i'm talking about at 70 mph down the hwy it goes whoooo, whooo, whooo, whoooo, whoooo, gets on my nerves. I use an Apex N1 single side no cats and it's loud and barkey when your on the gas but nice and quiet crusing down the hwy. Does the word "Perfect" mean anything to you?
