AZ LOUD noise HELP!!!

So, i have a 86 NA, and its making a very loud grinding noise coming from around the tranny/clutch when i let off the clutch completely (driving or not) it makes the grinding, when i shift gears it makes a "clunck" noise. i dont think its the flywheel because its spinning regardless of my foot on the clutch or not right? and it only makes the noise when i let off completley..
my guess is the pilot bearing, and im looking to get the part, but if its not that.. then what could it be? has anybody else had this problem or know what it is?

(the tranny was replaced yesterday with the clutch and a new throwout bearing was replaced as well, and the car made the same noises)

My old tranny made a noise when when it idol'd with the clutch out, and in every gear besides 4th. I think it was the imput shaft or something. I just replaced it with another tranny a few weeks back, and the problem's gone... just my experience.

the diff mount was welded, so i know thats not the problem, i replaced the tranny and this is driving me nuts. i ordered a pilot bearing, so it will be a couple days before i find out that thats not the problem either. :""""(

i could have sworn it was the throwout bearing, but noooooo life couldnt be that easy. :""(

Rule of Thumb,By experience...Change the Trans,Clutch etc,you always,Always, change the Throw out and Pilot bearing.
I went to a TII trans, clutch etc,and the Guy I got it off of said "oh ya,throw out is good, less than 6 K Kms' on it".I got it in and WiRRRR!..****!..
But anyhow, you may be able to pop the Rubber plug Down below and Look into the Bell housing to see the Flywheel, and if it is OK..
Honestly, though, you aren't gonna get a REAL answer unless you take the transmission out, again!

yeah, thats a given. i replaced the throwout bearing, and could it really be the flywheel? because its only making that noise when i let off the clutch completely... even while im driving. isnt the flywheel always spining? ill check it when i get it to the shop again when my pilot bearing comes in, my bf has an extra one so maybe well put in on for ***** and giggles. :"""(
