Lots of smoke when car is cold?
ok...
1988 RX-7 SE, auto, K & N intake, rb header, bonez high flo cat, apex'i dual n1
107,500 miles
when i first start her up, it billows out whiteish-grayish-blackish-blueish smoke. it will do this for about 7-10 minutes until it is fully warmed up.
the smoke has the smell of fuel...also oil cause my oil seals are shot. but its a lighter gray more than blue, and it smells more of fuel than oil...smells like a weedwhacker....2 cycle
it only started doing this about 3 days ago when i finally finished my custom intake setup, using the hard plastic pieces from the factory intake pipe and replacing the rippled flex part with exhaust pipe.
in addition i checked all of my error codes and none came up, which is good news.
any suggestions?

Yeah. Make a fuel cut switch. At the end of your day, rev the engine to about three grand and cut the fuel off with your fuel cut switch. THEN turn the key off. The next morning look and see if you still have that smoke upon startup.
I'd say if you don't have the smoke the next morning that the problem is fuel injectors leaking overnite into the engine.

HAILERS is right. It's probably fuel leaking into the engine while it sits. The fuel cut off switch is a great thing to have, it also is a great theft "stopper" lol (the theif would get the car started then it will sputter and die because it has no fuel and his *** will be confused as hell!). Try getting your injectors cleaned and new o-rings if you want a more permanent solution, this should fix the problem if it is in-fact fuel leaking into the engine. Good luck!
