Many RX-7s are worn to the point where almost any other RX-7 key will work. I have freaked out many people this way in the past.

The Haynes manual contains a wiring diagram of the ignition switch. Easy to hotwire.

I've tried my five sets of keys on over 30 other RX-7s. That hasnt worked for me :O

ANYWAY, you can get a new set of keys made from either your KEYCODE (on the master key, usually replicated in the owners manual that came with the car (depending on the dealership and previous owner)

Failing that, most dealerships will give you a key based on your VIN and Registration.

Take the steering column cover off. Unscrew the ignition switch from the ignition cylinder and use a small flat head screwdriver to turn it.

Pic is the ignition switch seperate from the ignition cylinder

Dude, I'd put the car up for sale. If someone was to ever locate your car after finding the key, he might start it up without your permission and get you angry, where you might raise your voice, and he might yell back, and then you slap him, and then he slugs you, and then he pulls your hair, and you spit on him, then you shoot him and go to jail. See my point.

SELL THE CAR. PEACE RUF RUF RUF RUF RUF
