Loss of power, need ideas

Car is an 87 t2.

Microtech lt10s, stock coils, no x4 box
750cc/1000cc RC injectors
Greddy FMIC
Koyo rad

Prior work done to the issue:

Just a while back I pulled the front cover off and sealed everything back up as it leaked... On this project I was really **** about the bearing dropping. So I put the pulley on and sure enough you could tell just by looking at it that the bearing fell. Teared everything apart, set it all back up. And just by eye it looked like the bearing was in vertical alignment to the water pump. For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to do the hub protrusion, so I just did it by eye.
Went to the track a couple weeks later. On the way back to the pits, I started losing power, electronics turning off such as gauges and so on.. Had the gas pedal just about to the mat just to get myself out of the way but it was hardly alive and barely moving. I basically found it out to be the alternator, quickly threw one in and limped home, with power seeming to be alright.

Present problem:

I was driving around and all of a sudden without no warning the car had power literally cut in half.. So I had thought my fd alt wiring was the problem, because when I put in the alt at the track, I didn't have the 2 wire connector. I properly wired it up, and same problem.. At low rpm every once in a while the gauges shut off, microtech still running. I wired the alt like so, diagram on the far right:

When the car is cold, it's a real bitch to get it started. Often gets flooded really easily, and have to de-flood. I hold the throttle at about 2k until it gets to about 60 degrees celcius and it seems to idle on its own. A sudden hit of the gas will make it sputter and be lazy. If I slowly press the gas up to 3k rpm and then hit the gas hard it seems to rev okay.
When I accelerate any higher rpm while moving, the car backfires and hardly moves.

I checked the compression and it seems to be right around 80-90 on both rotors, hard to tell with piston tester the exact number. The first couple tests seemed fine. But every once in a while when the car turned over the compression was around 40-60, and it sounded like the engine was barely turning over.

At first with all my issues explained I was sure I tossed an apex on the front. Weird? Any ideas?
