Loose green wires on ECU???

I removed my ECU last fall when I started this little engine swap on my S5 Turbo II. I'm just now getting around to the final stages of the swap and need to know if all the loose green wires on the ECU are just ground wires or what.

I tried searching and came up with nothing. I seem to remember them all being grounded along w/ the big ground ring from the harness.... I just didn't want to screw something up w/o asking first!

Yeah and there's no such thing a loose green wire flailing around. And there's no way on God's green earth that they are ground wires.

You NEED to either scan the ECU and wires or take a pictue and post it.

There are NO green wire grounds on a RX7 (stock car).

Is this a JSPEC ECU? Where do the wire come from? The plug that goes to the ECU or the jack ON the ECU?

There's like 7 or 8 green wires that aren't connected to any plugs. They're part of the harness like right at the end where the ECU plugins are.... I'll take a pic i guess lol.

This one shows the loose wires I'm talking about...

This one shows where they come from... they come from these multicolor plugs on one end... and are just loose on the other end.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer!

Ah! That's where some three dollar bill tried to tap into the ECU.

It's possible that he was trying to install a SAFC and that's how he tapped into the ECU.

Personaly I'd remove those wires. You can do that by opening up those Blue and REd devices (I forget the proper name right now). Once open you'll see it's easy to remove the green wires and the Red and Blue devices.

I also notice a black wire with a ring terminal. It's not clear if that is part of the green wire operation or not. I'd connect that ring terminal to a stud, like the studs that hold the ECU in place.
