Loose AZZZZZZ clutch...HELP

i'm off to work this morning and i pushed my clutch pedal and it felt spongy, no resistance, not normal. put into 1st to disable warm up, turned key, and my car went forward! so i turned it off, turned it on and it did it again. put into neutral and it started fine, waited to warm up and sat a bit just to make sure i'm good. put in reverse and i wasn't able to engage, so i tried all the gears and still couldn't. so i turned off the car and put into 1st again. started fine, able to engage all gears but reverse. turned off car and put into reverse. started again and it was fine, able to go to all gears and reverse. so went on my 40 min drive to work with everything ok, so far, until i hit my first red light. car would not go into first, so i turned off my car, put into first, start and was fine. so the my ride this morning was bad but i noticed the clutch was starting to feel normal as i drove more. i get to work fine. leave work and got into my car and my clutch was was more loose then normal but i have to go to my appointment so i bit the bullet and started into neutral and good so far. reversed out, rolled a little to check my gears and they're good. got to my appointment fine but it's a another 40 mins and just as before, the clutch was feeling more and more normal to the point where it was normal. i got done with my appointment and went to the auto shop to talk to some guys there and gave them the story and was told to get my clutch replaced. it is the original clutch and i'm half way to 114,000 miles so that sounds about right. advice please, get a new clutch, how do i check the fluid, if thats the case. PLEASE HELP

do yourself a favor and by a haynes manual. It shows you where everything in your car is. or if not sell your car.

Sounds like a clutch hydraulics problem. How about you download the FSM and look in there, it's free! Do yourself a favor and get to know your car a little.

fsm - Factory Service Manual

It's way better than any haynes manual or the like. It's what the Factory Service Technicians at the dealerships and mazda factories use. Please do yourself the huge favor already mentioned to you and download it. It's usually at least 100+ $ but people have scanned it and posted it online for download...
