Question Looking for vaccum leak.

I think that I have narrowed my lack of boost down to a vac leak.
If I am not mistaken I read awhile back to use carb cleaner to check for leak, is this correct?

Yup, Josh.. using the tube that come with the can, do one hose at a time spraying directly at each hose connection. No need to use much. RPM change immediatly following/during the spray tells you that is a leak point. Save yourself some possible grief and keep on checking 'em all while you are at it.
