Looking for someone who can fix my light switches
Looking for someone who can fix my light switches
I have 3 light switches that all broke somehow where the dash lights will not illuminate
if anyone can help fix or knows anyone I can ship them to so I don’t have to keep buying them would be very much appreciated

This is a fairly common occurrence. There is a "fix"thread on here, if I am remembering correctly. Don't toss those old ones. You might be able to trade those two to fix the one that you need.
I don't have time to search right now. So for now, I will give you a bump.

It seems that there are a few things for you to check or fix before you put in another switch otherwise it will likely happen again. If you follow the threads and replace parts, re solider and do the other recommended light bulb fixes you should be good to go for awhile.
Also, if you send these threads to a local electronics repair person, if you have one, they should be able to do the work. As a side note, if you have a music store close, they could probably fix it too. Or ask where they take or send their broken stuff. Best wishes.

we also have a lot more low watt options now for replacement lamps, which will put less strain on the switch, but once your switch connector and harness are damaged... it's hard to undo the damage without splicing in a new connector.
except for the brake lights, since the warning lamp is actually wanting to see the resistance of the old ancient incandescent bulbs. replacing those with led and a resistor is like turning a round wheel into a square wheel and then turning it back into a round wheel(not that i see LED as square wheels, but you get my meaning).

Not to hijack a thread but since we are here.... I am looking to do so LED swaps. The forward cluster seemed like a logical way to go but it looks like that most don't like the way that the light scatters in those. I am assuming LED headlamps are good to go? Marker lights maybe, interior lights? Anything else? Thanks.
LED dash lamps would be nice but LEDs tend to direct light instead of scatter it so you get strange results without tinkering with things.
you will want "warm light" color LEDs though, not "cool light" color ones, they will turn your parking lamps off colored.
