Looking for some power ungrade suggestions......

So I have pretty much full bolt on's as you can see in my signature and I was about to purchase a bnr stage 4 but it turns out that my tune guy says that my Rtek 2.1 wont work the best for the injector size I would need for that turbo. So I was was going to downgrade to the stage 3 bnr and I was wondering if any one had any suggestions to maybe make up for the horsepower I could have got with the stage 4 bnr. My goal is to get over 300whp and get into the 12's in the 1/4.

Thanks man but how much over 300 on the stage 3 do you think just wondering? With my upgrades, bnr stage 3 and full weight is 12's in the 1/4 possible? Also still open for any suggestions on getting a little more power out of her.

Go to the Rtek section on this Forum
The Info that I collected on the 2.1 is that the Injectors can't be too far Different. That over a 25% difference will not be really Tuneable for the RTEK..so say 750/1000 Injectors would have a difference of 25% which is within the Rtek's Parameters.anything that is Over that would be a little more difficult to Tune.
Definitely a 550 and 1600 injector setup would be a little Finicky. The Haltech would handle that better.
I'm NOT a Tuner guy,by far.I am just learning. That is just what I picked up Reading the stuff from the forum.,so.Just browse the RTEK section,ASK QUESTIONS,and maybe contact DIY autotune. One of the Head guys from the website is a Member too,so your best bet is to Post qusetions on the Section.Cheers Dave/STYX.

Dyno sheet? I doubt that.

300 whp on a stage 1 is more than doable. Take a look at BNR's site: http://www.bnrturbos.com/2ndGen.htm or the BNR turbo thread in the dyno section.

I have read all the pages in that BNR dyno thread and I don't remember anyone with a stage 1 making over 300.

I just read about a couple of people getting real close, one guy with 11psi on stock s4 block. Post #68 in the link and post #72 list his mods. Also can some one recommend a good injector brand I am thinking about tossing my venom injectors because I have been reading some bad things about them lately.

From what I heard of the Venom injectors it was that they aren't really the size advertised. If you send them out to be cleaned they tell you the size when they give them back so you could find out if they are actually as listed. I have 720 secondaries and they are Densos. I didn't actually know that until I had them cleaned like I said (I used injector-rehab.com). The previous owner put them on sometime and failed to mention it. No wonder it ran so rich when I got it.

Post #68: 95NRacer: dynojet 298whp @ 11psi on a stage 1. Note that he had an Rtek 2.0 to tune fuel/timing.

Post #125: S5.4FC3S: claimed 301 whp on a stage 1 @ 10 psi w/ a microtech

Post #180 & 182: 2713ddddavid: dynomax 282 whp @ 10-12 psi on a stage 2 with a low compression front rotor and only an Rtek 1.8. The BNR stage 2 is very similar to the stage 1; its T04b-H trim wheel is almost identical to the T04b V-trim & it has the larger compressor cover. A little bit more potential, but not dramatically different.

Post #378: Joe Crappa: dynojet 300 whp @ 10 psi by redline on a stage 2.

See the trend here? Every single person is running less than full boost (1 bar), some have no tuning at all and some just have poor intake and exhaust systems. Address all those areas, and I can't see why 300 whp shouldn't be fairly easy to obtain on a stage 1.

^^^ no lie, I've been really looking hard into which bnr upgrade I'm going to do and the only turbo that has consistently made 300rwhp is the stage 1, you can even check youtube for dyno pulls and see that. I saw a stage 4 make 302rwhp at 12psi, which is dramatically under what I would expect. A stage 1 spools much quicker then a stage 4 and has as much as 90% of the potential as the evidence seems to show. Bryan has my turbo right now so I'm trying to make a final decision as to which one to choose too.

I have a bnr stage 2 and while it hasn't seen a dyno yet it spools very fast at around 3k to 3.4k and will make full boost by 4200 give or take. I am still tracking down the boost leaks cause it won't hold 15psi to red line
