Looking for some input on housings

So I am in the middle of rebuilding my 500 dollar project car. I have the engine torn down and I am now questioning the the rotor housings as far as reusing them and what to expect. I am not looking for a hp machine but something that gets ok compression and can last a bit. I am going to build a T2 motor in the future so I will drop a lot of money when that comes. I looked at the rotor housings and there were two spots that got my attention. I checked rotary resurrection for some input and I believe i might get atleast 100-115 compression.

Any input is welcome but keep in mind I am only looking to know if the housings are usable for around 50-75k maybe. I am using new apex seals and replacing springs on everything else.

Those housings are in pretty rough state but should be usable. Hard to tell without clearer more detailed pics. They may work just fine for a daily driver but don't excpect the kind of compression you spoke of. I would say 90 to 95 once broken in and that means taking you time and following Kevin's break in recommendations. I would say that Atkins apex seals would be better in this application since they are softer than Mazda OEM seals, that will help them conform to the housings a little better/faster. Just my 2 cents.

So looks like like I can reuse them cool. I got three good bounces to 70 psi when I compression tested it. That was with a failed water passage wall on the center iron too. I don't think I can find used housings in much better shape without buying new ones. Thanks for the input.

I think I should be good since I have read that the one edge by the exhuast port is not really gonna hurt compression because of where it is at on the stroke. The apex seals would be the only real seal to question.

Oops my mistake. NOT the corner seal, I sound like a jackass. I mean the 2nd smaller piece of the apex seal.. Looks like it could get hung up in the scoring. Seems like a rough patch to "ride" over.

I had one marke on each housing like that on my turbo build and I have GREAT compression numbers... I would not hesitate
