Looking for some feedback...

I am doing a redesign of my website, and doing some new logos and I am looking for some feedback from FC people as to what they think about it. Let me hear it straight. It won't hurt my feelings if you hate it

Anyway, here are a few that I am playing with. Any and all feedback is welcome. Thanks in advance.

And another

I like your site how it is, but #2 is definitely better than #1. The first looks like an angel, which a rotary definitely is not

I prefer # 1. It suggests Power and Strength. # 2 implies fire , chaos.

LOL This would make a good psychology project.

The reason for the site update is the same as when car makers redesign the same car. I just an looking to draw in more visitors, yet retain the loyal ones I have now. We get bored with things, look at what we do to our cars sometimes for no apparent reason

Good feedback though. On both logos, I am going to add some red and yellow to the flames. These are just templates to go from so far. Plus the original logos were done by someone no longer associated with the site (or us), so it prevents future problems with our own designs.

Over the last few years, the site has grown to over 85 pages, and that poses a problem for those who still are on dial up internet service. This new design will hopefully ease some of their pain

I think 2 looks better. Are those the colors you will be using?
edit: sorry just reread your post . adding the red and yellow will definitely help out.

Well if you must know...

I am working on possibly offering some products from RX-7 community members under the FC3S.org name. To do this, I need a logo. The current one that I have is too complex to be able to put on things without it costing an arm and a leg, and I don't want the costs of anything to change from what they are to start. To do this, I will need to do a more "simple" logo or graphic. Like a trademark type of thing.

I like this one the best, but between #1 and #2, I like #2.

Wow, if you size your browser just right, and rapidly scroll up and down with PGUP/PGDN it looks like the fire is burning...

But I like the 2nd one.
