I was going to PM you when I saw your other thread, but now that I’ve seen this one, I decided I’ll just post what I have to say here.

I hope you don’t take this the wrong way. You’re obviously an adult by age, but you’re still young, and I’m not trying to sound wise or condescending. However, maybe you may want to leave your phone number out of posts, and limit references to your location. This board is a great place, but as with any community, there are some people here that may have bad intentions (whether by choice or pathology). It’s no reflection (or condemnation) of the board, it’s just the world we live in and I’d hate to hear of anything bad happening.

That’s all. Just something to consider ….

As far as internet safety goes, that's some pretty solid advice. Your own personal information is one of the most valuable things you can have anymore. Keep it safe.

As far as helping you get your car running, can you describe what's going on with it? What have you checked? Have you taken pictures or video of what's going on? I know it's a lot, but consider it the start learning how your car works. These are old cars and require a lot of informed TLC. We'll help you as best as we can, but we will need some information about the car and the symptoms first. Keep us posted.

The Ohio Rotaries forum is no longer active. I was an admin and the website company we used to host the site was bought put and was then gone like a fart in the wind when it was resold out from under us. So the only Ohio Rotaries page we have is our Facebook page.

If you weren't so far, I'd be happy to lend a hand. But with my current work schedule and unpredictable weather I can't be of much help in person. What issues are you experiencing?

My best advice, and advice I sadly see not followed by many drifters and people that have just clapped these cars out or put them into a wall, deleted the BAC and wondered why It won't idle right, wired open the 5th and 6th ports on N/A models, etc is as follows:

The FC's sold new for approx 20,000~ USD new in their respective model years. Turbo II's were a few thousand more than that. If you bought a Turbo II for example, for 23,000 in 1987, that is the equivalent of $52,687.21 with inflation factored in.

Just because you got the car for much cheaper today, does not mean that its still not a $23,000 car in 1987 dollars and a $52,687 car in 2020 dollars. The RX-7 is a high performance, high cost sports car, and and requires just as much maintenance and upkeep now, that it did then.

Not saying you are going to do anything like that, but just keep that in mind throughout your troubleshooting process.
