(HOU) rotary noob needing help
I'm new to the rotary scene and needing help trying to figure out why my FD is having idling issue's. I changed out the MAP sensor to see if that was the issue but it was a no go. Its probably a vaccuum leak but have no idea where to start looking and where each hose runs to. Wondering if any of the local Houston guys are willing to help me out. I can compensate (if need be) for the help.

Can you limp it to the meet next Tuesday?
There are several knowledgable members (including the two above) that won't be able to resist tinkering if you show up early, pop the hood and act like you are almost in tears.

LOL.. I'll try and bring it out on Tuesday if I'm not busy with work. Most likely I will be able to. The car drives fine with no issues, its just not idling where it suppose be (about 750rpm if I am correct) and i cant figure out if whats making it cause it to idle like that. I've tried changing out the MAP sensor and that was a no go, I'm going to take of the intake manifold off today and start looking to see if there is a bad vacc hose and change some of them out that I've noticed that are cracking around where they connect to the vacc tree (the hard vacc lines). I'm also going to see if it could be a possible bad o2 sensor. That was one of the issue that I had on my 03 WRX when I still had it.

What exactly is the idle doing? Surging? Irratic (sp)? Too low?
I agree with 7dust, get you a can of starting fluid and spray it on your vac lines, and listen for a change in the engine speed/idle. Don't was your time or money with the O2 sensor, especially with an idle problem.
