I could do that but I rather just have the feeling of knowing that the motor isn't a swap

It would be a lot less expensive and a better solution to find a clean TII. Converting your GXL to turbo by a reputable shop will cost big bucks. But if money is not a problem, SpeedSource, Inc. (www.speedsourceinc.com) in Sunshine, FL can do the job for you. There are other shops in the Miami area as well.

How much is this feeling worth to you? Are you willing to pay 10x the amount for someone to build a custom turbo system, or 2 - 3 times the amount for someone to adapt the TII stuff to fit the NA block?

If $1K is your budget, save up more money. There is no way you will make a decent, reliable and non-ghetto turbo-NA setup for around $1K (queue a thousand people to now tell me I am wrong...all of which have blown up their turbo-NA setups...).

You won't be able to do a good TII swap for $1K, nor will you be able to make a turbo-NA setup.

if you knew how to read i said over a k, cause i know that a full motor and tranny to do a swap is like about 1800 then to install it its about another 1000 maybr more and thats if the motor you buy doesnt need any work done to it but dont worry some way or another this motor will end up with a turbo
