looking at going 6 port turbo...
So, I'm able to get a good deal on a Precision turbo, a 6076E T4 with a .85 AR Precision Turbo Entry Level Turbocharger (6076E [59mm Inducer] - up to 610hp) - Modern Automotive Performance, a tial 50mm BOV and a 38mm tial wastegate. I'm able to pick up a whole bunch of nice aluminum intercooler piping, lots of straight pipe and bends and such, all coated aluminum along with a very nice custom intercooler. Would this set up be worth getting to start a turbo project? Obviously I would need to get some more things but would this be suitable for 300 or so WHP goal?

Remember the standalone.
To make the S5 NA engine reliable in the long term under boost, you'll need to run drastically reduced timing. Keep it around 10 degrees under boost and keep AFRs in the low 11s/high 10s.

Ahhh ok that makes sense then, so would the one from mazdatrix HALTEC at MAZDATRIX for Mazda RX7, RX8, Rotary Engine Parts and Accessories be a good one to get or are there better or cheaper ones that would do the same thing for less?

you can try to find a used haltech for a lot less then mazdatrix sells them for. they pop up from time to time, haltech seems to be the most popular for standalone application in the FC. there is a whole engine management section here on the forum for the most popular units. take a look there, might help you decide.

and keep the boost below 12psi, series 4 n/a can run about 14-ish psi. can't run the traditional 18-20psi as a true turbo low compression engine can on premium pump gas. most turbos won't really compliment the high compression engine very well for big numbers, reliably, unless you switch the fuel. so expect to not have large headroom for growth. even WI won't help significantly for knock suppression on the high compression engines.

I've read a bit earlier in the ems forum, I'm most likely going to go with a haltech. I'm not looking to go much higher then 10psi even if I want to put it up to that but would running aux. injection with water/meth something worth looking into even at lower boost levels for safety's sake?

also looking at going turbo on my six port. Mainly because the motor is brand new with about 20k on the "monster" streetported block. my only concerns are reliability/MPG. and yes I KNOW i will be getting horrible mpg, by "concern" i meant i don't want like 9 MPG. i would be fine anywhere from 16-20

Depending on what "monster" street port means, there could be no reason to expect poor mileage. A properly tuned standalone on a street port typically will get better mileage than stock. The stock ECU is, well, fairly crude. In the city is where your mileage will suffer more than anything, but that's a fundamental geometry and thermal issue with the rotary in general.
Well I've already decided to start buying the swap(turbo) parts.. thanks

Another question, is the cx racing a suitable manifold or is just cheap crap? I've searched a little on the forum and had most people say there just ebay junk but havent seen anyone run them so far. Would it be better to just have one made up to suit the turbo I have or look harder and spend more money

I went with a hx-35 and I'm running mega squirt 2
I also used a t2 intake instead. It makes piping so much easier on both the intake and exhaust side. Originally I used the na intake but I found that the t2 just gave me more room and looks cleaner.
