Cool Looking for Convertible Replacement Seat Covers

A couple of months ago I found an E-Bay listing for Leather Seat Cover Replacement Kits that looked like exact OEM replacements. They are no longer listed on E-Bay, and my Google searches have not provided a source. Can anyone recomment a source for Convertible Seat Cover Replacement kits?

Thanx, FredM

The website for the leather seats offered on e-bay was www.leatherseats.com

I just tried their website and I could not get a response. They are located out of Oklahoma City.

Cool Thanx

Thanx David, I think this is the outfit I was referring to. I just tried their web site (5:55) AM, EST) and got a response, their catalog seems to have just what i am looking for, and the price seems OK. Has anyone else used this outfit, and what do the seats look like?
Thanx, FredM

This has been covered many times, search for leatherseats.com in this section for more detail.

We've had a couple of group buys from them and I think most are very satisfied.

I redid mine about 2 years ago, the leather is a little thinner and more vinyl that stock but it fits great and has held up well, much less than quotes I got locally.

They were using pictures of my car in the Ebay listing for the longest time, PM me if you want some pictures.

I have done this

Fred-

I bought mine on a no reserve auction on Ebay. I paid $399. My local auto upholstery guy (the one the Porsche buddies use) wanted $500 for vinyl and $800 for leather.

I put a set on my vert last January. The quality is fine, the fit is just so-so, nothing bad. Where the OEM leather is tight as a drum, the leatherseats.com covers are a little loose. There was no way that I could have pulled them any tighter, they were just in my opinion a little too large. To be honest, I don't think I could have pulled the covers over the foam if they were as tight as the oem covers anyway. The covers look and work terrific, just a little different from the oem. I have asked a dozen friends, Porshe owners, Caddy owners, BMW owners and Acura owners to evaluate the seats. No one mentioned the 'wrinkles' and when I mentioned it to them, they still didn't think it was an issue. My Porsche buddy is particularly adamant that the seats are beautiful.

Pay the extra for the perforated leather.

My headrest covers are made from the perforated leather, (like the seat centers), but the perfs are insufficient to allow sound through the cover. I solved this with my dremmel and a 7/64" bit. I blocked out the area for the 'grills' and drilled all the necessary holes. It looks fine, but I do need to go back with some leather dye and dye the area so the raw leather on the insided of the drilled holes is black rather than tan leather color.

I plan to use Leatherseats.com for the seats on the 88 TII I am restoring.

Good luck,
