Looking for 3.5" Stainles Steel catback for FC

does anyone know of ANY off the shelf kit that is a 3.5" catback system? I'd prefer a stainless steel, but would consider ANYTHING at this point. I'm sick of fabricating stuff.

If anyone has a 3.5" exhaust on your car, let me know who did it and if you'd be willing to get it copied for me. My only stickler is it must be mandrel bent.

Not interested in a huge downpipe or midpipe because that WILL have to be custom since I'm running a 20B, but I just thought I'd give it a shot... even though I don't think there is an FC exhaust this big.... I know the FD has one available.. I think it is the HKS Titanium exhaust, but who knows.. and it doesn't really matter anyhow.

Ya just got custom. You shouldn't even have to buy the piping unless the shop doesn't have it(which it might being a uncommon size).

there are no mandrel benders where we live...

So we would have to buy ALL the material including the bends.. then try to find someone who will do it without a cat...

I expected to run a 3.5" exhaust...no surprises. I'm just sick of fabricating stuff....

I was just on Apexi's website and checked out their GT spec exhaust... says that it is 95mm piping (3.74"). does anyone have this kit?

I called Apex

I called apex to get the skinny on the GT spec exhaust...

It has a 65 mm flange to fit the cats, then after that, it flares to 80 mm piping... but for the last two feet of the exhaust, it is 95mm, wich is about 3.75"

anyone have half of a GT Spec exhaust they wanna sell me?

still looking for any info on a 3.5" exhaust for the fc....

I've heard not to use titanium on rotary exhausts... but for some reason, people keep doing it....

Check out the blurb in grey on the side of this webpage:

That HKS system is very nice though, you get what you pay for pretty much. The muffler makes if lighter and titanium doesn't rust. I'm sure it would be a very high quality exhaust too, probably better quality than the Hiper and Dragger systems. If you want titanium, the only other way you can go is JIC Magic or get the HPI mufflers.

But titanium is not suppose to be used in applications over 1600 degrees F. And if your rotary isn't hitting that, you aren't making any power....

Exactly... I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't overlooking some odd brand... who knows, maybe Toucan made an FC exhaust in 3.5"

I have several Mandrel U-bends, TONS of 3.5" exhaust pipe, 1 hooker straight through muffler (3.5" in and out) and 1 straight through magnaflow muffler in stainless steel (3.5" in and out).

Its looking like i'll be taking this to a shop to have it done... I just wanted SS, but it doesn't look like its going to happen this time around... Burnsstainless sells the straight 304 3.5" SS tubing, and they also sell 3.5" 90 degree bends... but no U-bends, 45s, J-bends or even 15 degree bends... anyone know a place that sells 3.5" 304ss U-bends?

Is it fully 3.25 inch or does it flare to 3.25 inch (similar to the GT Spec Apexi exhaust I described earlier)?

And I just checked corksports page and they are advertising a 3" exhaust....

I believe corksports new exhausts are 3" ID instead of 3"OD, at least their DP and MP. So it would make sense if they switched their catback to that too.

I have a 3.5" SPEC90 JIC exhaust in stock. Bolts right on and includes an adapter to fit to your stock cat. Plus if you want JIC makes a 90mm downpipe that is a single stainless steel piece going from the stock manifold, flairing to 90mm, and bolts right up to the SPEC 90 exhaust. Frikin' sick as hell. List price is $340.00 for this whole piece.

Turbo back 90mm exhaust system is only two pieces.

the SPEC90 SS exhaust lists for $840.00.

Let me know if you're interested Kurgan.

Thanks, Rishie

This is what I have on my widebody.

Yeah I would suggest the spec90. Stainless steel and probably not nearly as much $$$ as the hks unit if you go through rishie. I didn't even know it was a two piece system though. mmmmm...JIC. Once I get an FD, thats what I'm going for, but for now my TII is getting a custom 3".

Turbo back 90mm for $840! thats a sweet deal, i built mine and it was $700 and change! well $560 of it was HKS hyper catback (witch is like two feet long).

Sounds good! but it's not going to bolt up to 60-1 or some other turbo, so you would half to replace half of the exhaust anyway.
