Looking for 3.5 and 6mm vacuum tubing

Does anyone know where I can get replacement tubing that is in a roll that I can cut to the length I need? I don't want to have to spend big bucks on the expensive stuff, but I can't seem find the standard replacement hose in metric size.

They usually sell them at your local autoparts store. You can also order them from Mazdatrix.com. Both will sell them by the foot.

5/32" is perfect fitment for rx7s. available on ebay for about 8 bucks a roll, or at autozone by the foot (dramatically more expensive).

Could I buy that size and replace every vaccuum hose with it, or would I need to get different sizes?
I assume buying it on ebay for 8 bucks a roll is cheaper than buying a kit on ebay for about 120 bucks, which is essintaly the same thing.

I think you need a few inches of some larger size, somewhere around 1/4" also.

The high dollar kits are generally thick wall silicone, which is superior to stock rubber for the long term. But...you can do the hose job in the 10 dollar rubber 10 times before paying for one silicone kit. The rubber usually holds up 4 or 5 years before getting hard again.

Also the silicone tends to tear easily when you decide to work on the car a few months down the road.

How much hose does it take if you take out the rats nest? Does anyone know?

I assume the brake booster line is 3/8" since 5/16" barely fits with tremendous force. So i'd need that plus a check valve.

Well first off the Germans don't really like working on their own cars that often and trying to find tubing that will fit is ridiculous. They don't carry it in the stores in rolls only is sections of about 1 foot in length. As for sizes again it's just not stocked and trying to explain what i need is more trouble than it's worth.

I had to email hosetechniques because the only shipping they show is UPS and since i'm at an APO address I need it shipped by USPS.

Thanks for all the input on everything though.
