Angry look what they did to my car!

I had to park my car in front of the house last night for the first time ever because the fresh snow made me unable to get into my usual parking spot. And look what happend!!!! I can't open the drivers door now because the fender is bent in the way of its path. and I only have liability insurance because my dad said that because it only cost $1000, it wouldn't be worth it to get the extra coverage. I'm sooooooo ******* pissed, I'm going to severly injure whoever did this.

does anyone have an extra fender I can put on my car?
hopefully the body shop class at my school can fix that dent tomorrow, and maybe the one on the quarterpanel also. If not, I guess I'll have to wait a little longer for my turbo conversion.

Sorry to see what happened to your car. Your dad is right its not worth the price for liability.

PS- I wish my school had a body shop class!!

Ouch! That's a rough dent on the front fender - not a simple pop out job at all. Shitty luck man.

That really blows. Gimme an address, and I'll come help kick some *** :P

And, I would agree that the body shop may have to patch it rather than pull it out, but it wouldn't hurt them to try. I just wouldn't keep my hopes up.

does $100 seem like a fair price for a used fender?

yeah, I looked on ebay and didn't find anything at the moment.

and how about the price of one of those mirrors? whats average price on them?(just the cheapo S4 N/A mirrors)

or, does anyone have some J-spec mirrors ?

If anyone has any parts I could buy( or donate ) it would really be appreciated.

search for rx7 and rx-7 on ebay...there are a of things for thses cars you just have to find them..you should be able to find a fender and a mirror for like 60 total...just keep looking or you could go to rx7heaven.com or some one of those sites...they have new and used parts...or you could even go to your local junkayrd and see what they have in stock...thats where i got some replacement parts for my car...good luck

Collision coverage would not have helped much. Damage like that on a car of that age would likely totalled it. They would have given you far less for the car then it is worth to you - your deductable.

Can't help but get screwed!!

I feel for you though. My car is sporting a dent from some hit and run in the company parking lot =(

Also, check http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/ for mirrors they have some listed right now, i don't know how up to date they keep that page tho.

I don't agree with NOT having full coverage on the vehicle, even if its old. I have FULL coverage on my 91 NA, somebody backed up into my fender (not as bad as yours), and I got +$700. Guess whos getting a new paint job?

My co worker purchased a commute vehicle (Toyota Corolla), no otions, standard. Didn't use full coverage on the vehicle, and it got stolen. He actually got the vehicle back, its missing air bags, side window, a ignition switch. Over a $1000 dollars on parts, he could've paid a full year or more or full coverage with those $1000.

Point of the story, yes insurance is expensive, but is the coolest thing when you need it!!!

It all comes down to odds and how much your insurance cost... For the amount I have saved in paying liablility over collision over the last 9 years of rx-7 ownership I could wad up the car and walk away and still have saved money. I also won't have the headaches of fighting with the insurance company over who pays for what.

If you crash a lot or have a very expensive car then things change....Oh, and you may have gotten $700 now but they'll get it back in the form of higher rates =) they are in it for the money.

He said it happened in front of his house.

From the picture its weird. There aren't any scrapes(at least from the pictures). Looks like someone backed into it except for the fucked mirror. Sucks man.
