Smile Look what I got at the junkyard today

Finally stopped being lazy and went out and spent the better part of this morning under a 95 Miata at my local junkyard. Came out with this..

Now if only I had something to put it in.......oh wait , I have that GTUs 4.3 rear end laying around here, I guess it can go in that I still need to get that old miata gear ring off of it (how much torque are on those bolts, they're tighter than hell..) And then its off to a shop to have them swap LSD units from the GTUs rear. Shes all coming together,...slowly but surely..

if you are gona use the gears and LSD from the miata don't waste it in a GTUs rear end.. find another normal N/A one and sell the compleate GTUs end to someone who will use it...

Im not using the miata gears, just the Torsen LSD unit. The 4.3s are staying in there. I just really really didnt want viscous, and think that torsen was a better choice than clutch-type also. I paid a good bit of money for the GTUs reat, dont worry Im not wasting it, im making it better

Well, the GTUs rear (all 89-91 Fcs that have LSD) has the viscous LSD. This basically sucks, because it has to let one wheel actually start spinning before it starts to lock up. By this time, youve already lost time on a launch, or started to step sideways in a turn. I couldve used a clutch-type LSD (86-88 FC) like I have in my GXL now, but I like to be different
