Isn't the driver side of the RX better suited for the point of a cold air intake? I was staring at my engine bay (NEED TO CLEAN ENGINE) and theres even a tube bringing air from the low front of the RX to the engine bay. Has anyone tried a mod to use this?

That tiny tube is to ventilate the battery box. It would be completely inadequate for use as an engine intake. Engine's suck in quite a bit of air y'know...

I just mean you could have a pipe that goes down to the front of the car where the existing "Battery vent" tube is now. At the end of the pipe place an air filter. Problem is what abot when it rains?

Just for openers, any intake mod should work better than the stock snorkel - or it aint worth doing.

I plan to do some intake testing this spring.
