look at my project...also a question

I started the process today or replacing my blown 87 t2 engine today with a reman. here are some pics:

also, can anyone help me with the attachment's question. I need to know where to plug in the new boost gauge. please see the picture. it will explain its self.

one more thing. where do I plug in the manual boost controller?

How much did that engine set you back? That isnt a mazda reman is it? I didnt think they painted theirs.

For the manual boost controller, it goes where your arrow goes. remove that line, and use 2 longer lines and put your boost controller between the 2. I wouldnt mount it directly on the turbo, it'll be too hot to adjust.

The boost gage lead gets mounted anywhere on the engine after the throttle plates. I tee into the boost sensor vacuum line.

I got it from www.mazdarotaryengines.com for 1995+500 core. shipped and picked up. It was shipped on friday from washington state (ATKINS build the engine) and I got it the following tuesday afternoon and I live in upstate new york, man thats fast.


so the "boost sensor vacuum line' is where I hook up the gauge. thanks guys. I will send more pics as they come. the cam is sweet. I am flattered you linked to them. cool

hey,

do you put a BOV in the same place as you would a manual boost controler? makes sense to me. That way it would dump at the same time, everytime, right?

Nope. The blow off valve goes on the intake side of things after the turbo. A manual boost controller tees in with the vacuum line going to the wastegate control.
