I called jegs today to ask what relay I should use and he said since it draws 11.4 amps, I should use at least a 20amp relay.

My fan

Maybe you should call the people who make your fan to see what they say.

hum..............well I'm going to drive on the 30 amp and see. I've got some people saying I need a 40 other people saying a 70 and some saying to stay with the 30. i guess i'll just try the 30amp relay and fuse. IF that doesn't work I'll have a 40amp relay and fuse ready when this goes out and if that doesn't work I'll buy the 70amp fuse and relay. Only thing that is probably killing it is the initial kick on......I'm guessing.

thanks for the update! i drove mine to a restaraunt yesterday and back and it didn't burn out so thats a good thing lol. Now I gotta get my car tuned today as well over at steve kans place so I'm going to be crossing my fingers that it doesn't happen with him. If it does I'll just wire my fan up to run while the key is on just for the tuning.

thanks man, of course the first one didn't burn up for about 3.5 hours of driving or so, so I won't be satisfied until it's on there for about a month and even at that I'm going to keep a spare relay and fuse in the glove box

well I took my car to steve kan this weekend and did have a few small issues but get them resolved but one thing that wasn't an issue was the efan Looks like changing from a 25 to 30amp fuse and relocating the relay away from the hot radiator really helped out. So to anyone that is going to run the fierro gt fan just make sure you put a 30 amp fuse inline with the powerwire and then make sure your relay isn't mounted anywhere near the radiator.
