Logicon problems

I just started driving my baby again and now all the sudden my logicon doesnt work, I dont know if this just happened but its noticable now being its like 30 degrees at night. None of the buttons light up showing what button is pressed in but the normal lights come on when i turn on my headlights (confusing i didnt know how to differentiate) I dont know if its a fuse or what I looked at the two 30 amp black fuses but i dont know if they are bad ....please help its ******* cold here in georgia. -Gabe

The heater/blower and Logicon circuit are powered by the Meter fuse, the Cigar fuse, and the 30amp Heater circuit breaker.

If the fuses are okay, and everything is plugged in, your Logicon may have failed. I do have rebuilt ones available on my website or can rebuild yours for you.

Just like your would check a fuse... pull it and check it with a multi-meter.

I have the same problem. The icons wont light up and I also dont have a cigarette lighter installed. It came like that but I see the plug for it under the ashtray. Does my logicon not light up because of the absence of the cigarette lighter? Also can I just buy a universal replacement like at kragen? I looked in the books there and did not see our car listed.

Only if the cig fuse is blown. There is no requirement for the cig lighter... just the cig lighter fuse.

I pay $10 working or not, and use them as cores for rebuilding.

On ebay they generally sell in the $10-$20 range depending on if they are new or what ever.

Sorry for reviving this thread but was wondering if you might know how I would go about rebuilding the climate control unit. All my vents and fans work but the the images above the buttons never come on or the blue to red strip. So is there any kind of a write up as to how to take this thing apart and rebuild it? Thanks.

Open up the unit, resolder ALL the solder points.
Check ALL electrical components to see if they are within spec.

Did we mentioned Icemark does this for a reasonable price???

Most people don't have the tools or the equipment to do this properly.
Icemark does.

Well..I'd like to at least attempt it myself (still thinking about it). So once I pull the card from the back the solder points should just give out? Yeah I knew Icemark could do this which will be my last resort kind of thing. Thanks a lot for the help though.

if it is just the icons, you should be able to just replace the light bulbs (they are available from Mazda), however if it is more than just the images chances are transistors or resistors have been damaged and will need replacing.
