I have the same problem and am trying to diagnose it.

The airflow adjusts according to the button choice on the logicon, you can hear them move.

I've resoldered a couple of the connections within the front board of the logicon but to be honest soldering is not my forte and im not sure how to identify which connections are the troublesome ones. All the logicon controls work except the heater slider.

Suggestions for next step in diagnosis are welcomed.
