little button thingy on shifter thingy*haha*

ok you guys know how theres this little button thingy on the very bottom of the shifter thingy, that goes into the groove of the shifter so it wont allow it to spin, well everytime i shift into 3rd it pushes it out and then i can fully turn my shifter in 360 and its bothers me alot. how do you keep that little thingy from poppin out everytime i shift?

Is this thingy on the shift ****?
Or is it the thingy in the transmission extension housing where the shift lever pivot ball sits?

This will work:
Clean the hole it sits in, and clean the pin, with alcohol and let dry. Cover the pin in green loctite and put it in its hole, and let that cure for a few hours. Re-insert the shifter, and bolt down the cover, and you're done. Might want to throw in a new set of shifter busahings while you are in there; they're cheap.
