the little bridges in the exhaust ports

what are they for and what would happen if they were to be removed.it just seems like they would cause turbulance would they not?

you can remove them if the housings are accessible, I just ground the "bump" down to the point of almost no visible restriction at the port opening...I've heard you can also drill the roll pins out and swap some turbo housing exhaust ports in there. I would only worry about 'em if the intake/engine/exhaust is way beyond stock...
