A litte help with spacers

Well I found the wheels I want however they are 16X8 +38. The rears are fine, however the fronts are rubbing the Tein's pretty bad. Bad enough that we cant even push the car lol. I went to Pep Boys and slapped on a cheapo 8mm spacer just to see if the tires would get off the coilover. It still rubbed so I guess I need a larger spacer.

Now I have done my research and I wouldnt run the Pep Boys cheapo. I was looking at the hub centric adapter type, probably around a 15mm. My only question revolves around the amount of space on the stock stud. It doesnt seem like there is too much room on the stock studs. I guess I could always camber in the fronts a few degrees and try running a smaller spacer. Any help would be great. Thanks for you guys' time!!!

just get an kics or an H&R adaptor, they should be hubcentric, and come wit studs on them so you wont have to worry about getting longer studs. They are pricey though.

Thats what I was thinking...they are only 205's up front. But even with those, without any spacer at all they just stick on the coilovers. Like I said the car wont even move they are rubbing so bad lol.

205's.... something is wrong, very wrong, especially if they still didnt fit with +8mm spacers.

the vert has 15x6.5 +35's and it had 225's up front for the longest time, no rubbing.

Yeah, something is wrong. Are you sure you have the spec.'s on the wheels correct?

I have run 245's on a 16x8.5 +37 up front (with coilovers) and no rubbing.

OK well I just tried remounting the thing and upon close inspection, I notice that the adjustable portion of the coilover, where the spanners go, is whats rubbing the tire, well the wheel too for that matter. So Im thinking if I raise the car the height of the tire, it should be ok. It might look kinda wierd though that high with 16's. I guess we will see!!!
