Taking off the spark plug is not a good place to look at your gas!

sounds like it needs some attention.
Have you done any maintenance to the car? Plugs? wires? injectors? fuel fliter?
Any common items you can rule out off the get go?

Your fuel pump sock is located on the fuel pump..you'll need to pull back the carpet in the rear of the car, and remove the access plate on the drivers side. The pump/sender assembly is attached to the plate that is on the tank. Just pray you don't have to use vice-grips to get the screws out
edit: just noticed you say it only does it when its warm....Im starting to think electronics related. Have you checked your timing? its possible that its out and the corrections for running temp are throwing it out further.

My car sounded an ran kinda like that when I had a nice big vacuum leak. It was combined with incorrect timing as well. Had you done any work to your car when this started happening? or did it just start doing this one day?
You said you took this motor from another car. If you mixed up the main pulley, that could make your timing inaccurate.

Yes its quite possible since the timing would be slightly different...not to mention that they may have put in injectors that are too large for an N/A...among other things.
if this is a turbo engine with no turbo BING thats yoru problem..
otherwise I would say vacumm leak or to much fuel (bad fuel press reg) due to the black exhaust..
