+1 mazdatrix

expensive? yes. worth it? hells yea!

ive have mine for over 2 years now and no rattles, clunks or any other noises. shift feeling is soo much smoother than stock. also ive went from the ebay ones to the miata ones and by far mazdatrix is the best.

a shifter will never wear out, so buying a old C's or whoever is no big deal, the bushings wear out and you should change them out with the shifter, along with the boots.

I wasn't sure just because on rx7.com and corksport neither of them specify so I didn't know if it was just mazdatrix or if it really mattered.

Hey, cool thanks!

So glad someone could say "yes, fd shifters work" "No fd shifters do not work" "fd shifters work with a little bit of work"

Continue playing with your h-patterns........

I have mazdatrix and mine doesnt rattle. Great shifts, all my friends compliment.
It made it even easier to "float" the gears if I so choose to.

I run an eBay "Miata" shifter, heavily modified for even shorter throw.
No rattles, positive, crisp action.

No matter which shifter you end up buying, spend some time shimming the bushings to get a perfect seat for the ball and use the heaviest shift **** you can get (mine is from Nismo)- it really helps.
