list/reviews of short shifters?

I'm considering a short shifter for my DD and am trying to do some research.
I was hoping there would be a list and/or reviews of shifters, but maybe we can start one.
From my searches it seems the following are/were available:

mazdatrix
corksport
c's (couldn't find a link where to buy)
miata
various ebay

If anyone could provide some reviews that would be helpful, or if there are others I did not list.

The C's is discontinued but you might be able to catch one on sale now and then. I have the C's in my car, and it's possibly the smoothest shifter I've ever used.

I have a mazdatrix short shifter. It works great, no complaints, but it does 'buzz'. I have yet to figure out how to stop it from doing that.

Everyone seems to get the "buzz" from the mazdatrix shifter. Evidentially the corksport one does too.

There was one made by Mazdaracing also. Long discontinued, supposedly had the shortest shift.

I have one. The throw is very short, but I think to short. On my current tranny there is no buzz, but on the last it had the buzz/rattle.

mine is based on the mazdatrix, although made by another company. it too rattles like a bitch. make more noise in the car than the car itself, and my car is far from quiet. don't think i'd put one in a daily, to be honest with ya. you'll certainly build up you're left arm, thats for sure!! sorry, right arm, I'm an aussie, haha!!

I also have a C's
it makes no noise at all but I feel it could be a little shorter of a throw

I have the one from Tweak It, very short throws, but they are precise. With my current trans + redline its not hard to shift at all. No rattle on this trans.

ebay one for like 20$ is crap. its a 2 piece that always rattles. it comes apart and sucks. it has a plastic clip that goes on the bottom ball into the tranny. that scares me anything plastic will disintigrate with heat. the shift also sucked could not get reverse. mine was in for 5 mins. if u want it pay shipping its urs lol.

The ebay shifter isn't "crap" but OK. Im fairly sure mine is a ebay shifter. After screwing around with the bushings it really isnt that bad for the price. It doesnt rattle and the plastic clip is fine after over 15k/inspection. Hell the stocker has a plastic clip too. Reverse gear is fine. I like it A LOT more than the stock shifter.

My pop's has the miata short throw/rx-8 know in his....miata. Probably the best shifter ive ever felt. You can bang gears sooooo quick.

I have a mazdatrix one and I love it, really short throw, mine doesn't buzz at all. On the mazdatrix website it says that the short shifter tends to buzz in one out of three cars.. So it's something in some rx7s that make it buzz cuz the shifter will be quiet in one car and the same shifter will buzz in another, js a little food for thought

I also have the Mazdatrix short shifter and I have no buzz or rattles at all. It is a very short throw and feels very smooth.

My cheap ebay shifter works great. No rattles. I did have to modify it a little.

I've searched but was curious if an fd shifter would fit an fc. If not out of the box, what would it take?

I like retarded, unpractical stuff and have been wanting an ikeya forumula sequential since i learned they existed.

Throw doesn't get any shorter or more precise than that.

I know mazdatrix sells yeaer specific shifters. Does it matter whether you buy the s4 or s5 for either tranny? Just wondering if it will fit either way.

Yes it does matter. They tell you that on their website.
