List of ALL my mods

The following is a list of all the mods I could think of on my car. I just posted this so I could have a link to it from my sig, because lots of people ask me about the mods.

Car- Black 1990 GXL
Turbo conversion.
New paint, 5 speed. Loaded.
2 seats, storage compartments. Rear cargo cover.

Exterior
S5 turbo side skirts
Custom Front spoiler- Big S5 TII lip with the smaller S5 edges under it.
Removed FTP Lenses (They were yellow)
Clear/polished marker/signals
Cut out air dam intake grille
100w Hiper white fog's
Hood scoop w/duct above air filter. (Small, nice)

Wheels/Suspension/brakes
Painted Gunmetal TII turbine wheels w/polished lip
225/50 Z rated Directional General's
Rear springs cut (yes, cut) 1"
Brembo front rotors

Interior/Audio
Kenwood CD head unit

4 Pioneer Premier 2 way Speakers
Custom ABS surround for the 2 units
Orion Cobalt 4 channel amp
MTX 2 channel amp for sub
MTX 8" sub in bandpass box
Real carbon fiber interior accents (Idiot light surround, random plastic stuff)
MTX 8" sub in bandpass box
Both amps mounted in sotrage compartment- one in bottom, and one on the lid.
Cut shifter
Generic leather shift ****.
Italian leather shifter boot... from my ruined italian leather jacket.
Remote starter
Drilled out and grooved stock aluminum pedals.

Now the real stuff.. Engine...

Engine block
Low(er) compression 88 N/A rotors (9.5:1)
3mm apex seals
FD side springs
Street ported S5 N/A rotor housings.
Ported S5 N/A intermediate housing
88 TII 4 port street ported irons.

Fuel/Delivery
4x550cc Injectors (low impedence- so simple rewiring with resistor pack was required)
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump (previously TII stocker)
S-AFC Air flow computer. Mounted where ashtray was. Ashtray cover cut out around it.

Ignition
MSD 6A flush mounted on custom deflector panel in front of radiator.
MSD 8.5mm wires w/heat jackets
Timing backed off about 3 degrees.

Exhaust
Edelbrock resonated tips
Edelbrock RPM ceramic mufflers
Custom bent 2 1/2" catback
Stainless Borla XR-1 in place of cat.
Modified stock TII downpipe

Intake
K/N cone filter mounted on turbo
Ported/matched intake manifold.
Intake manifold ground and epoxied to mate perfectly smoothly to 4 port engine.
AFM mounted after turbo, at throttle body. Much nicer response... no hesitation
Custom welded FMIC. 2 stock IC cores welded together. Mounted in front of radiator.
2" polished aluminum IC piping
Saab BOV

Turbo/required mods
Stock S4 turbo
Heavily (over)ported wastegate
Twin scroll removed
Ported/matched turbo exhaust manifold (both ends)
Turbo manifold spacer
Coolant teed from heater hose
Oil sourced from nipple on oil cooler
Oil drain in oil pan.
MBC manual boost controller
Radiator moved back 5" with longer bolts and spacer pipes to accomodate FMIC.
Sheet metal shrouding surrounding relocated radiator.

Gauges
Autometer Pro boost gauge- mounted in driver side door vent. (No givaway pillars!)
OZ DIY Wideband O2 sensor

Misc
Custom rebuilt "heavy duty" clutch/pressure plate
Entire emmisions/vacuum spider removed. 0 solenoids, 6 Vacuum lines left! HAHAH!!!
Red "metalcast/anodized" painted intake manifold
Painted many engine parts red
Sheet aluminum radiator deflector panel
Perma-cool Electric fan
Working VDI- no solenoid/control. Opens under boost around 2500 rpm. Early, but better than nothing for improving torque under 2500.
Full reground on sensors/ecu.
Alternator supplementary wiring.

Trying to keep things down to 11 psi until 720 injectors are in!

Low(er) compression 88 N/A rotors (9.5:1)

S4 TII rotors have a 8.5:1 compression ratio versus your N/A 9.4:1 (S5s TIIs are 9.0:1)

But it looks like a kick *** setup man, nice work. You got to get it on a dyno and a 1/4mi track and give us some numbers.

I didn't want low comp TII rotors.
Higher compression, lower boost engines give a much better powerband, and less lag. They ultimately limit peak power, but I'm not looking for 400 hp.
This engine putting out 10 psi is like a lower comp engine putting out 14 psi! Spools up quicker too, and had better off-boost response.
Just have to be carefull, and make sure you have enough fuel!! (Previous mistake...Stock TII system was nowhere near enough)

I woudl have ideally wanted the lighter S5 TII rotors, but try finding them!!
