List of All Aftermarket Upgraded TMIC Intercooler Options

PREFACE: This is not a thread on which is better, FMIC, VMIC or TMIC. This is just a list for TMIC options.

From thread digging in the 2nd gen section, this is what I've found for options:

ARC
HKS
RE Amemiya 1.5 Intercooler Upgrade

BNR (Progress Halted / Cancelled)

Anyone have any others?

Do you have any idea how a VMIC works? How about a FMIC?? You should know that if you're running a FMIC with AC you are forcing the air to pass through a shittily ducted maze of four different heat exchangers before all is said done. STFU and GTFO and learn something before you start posting. Look at my avatar and try to comprehend that my 4 heat exchangers all have thier own source of fresh air. Seriouly stop posting in this thread before you learn the fundamental differences and why its FRONT MOUNT FOR THE MOTHER ******* LOSE and yes its that bad and deserved to be completly typed out.

By the way - Roen is sitting right nest to me and wants this to be the ONLY opinion in this thread because its not an opinion - it's fact.

do the RE Amemiya's one fit the hood scoop nice as it's juste a tweaked OEM one? Any other brand?

You'll pay a fortune for any of them new...

RE-A is just two stock cores welded together with the pipe shortened on the outlet side. Unless you have a aftermarket scooped hood, the extra space sees little airflow.

HKS is the biggest dimensionally I believe, and actually looks like an upgrade (came with a new TB elbow as well). See above for airflow.

ARC is near stock dimensions but thicker. Should come with a new TB elbow as well but I've never seen a picture of a kit with it intact. There seem to be both unpainted and black painted with white "ARC" on top floating around.

Sorry to whoever I stole the pictures from.

*shameless plug*
Also, I have a black ARC one for sale in decent shape that I've been casually shopping for a year or so now. PM if interested.
