LIM Questions?

When I was taking apart my old engine externals to transfer them to my new rebuilt engine, these little air hose thingies snapped off when I pulled it apart (see picture). The hoses were really brittle, and I'm not sure if they are supposed to be. Anyway, is there anything I can replace them with, or do I need to reorder the part from the dealer? Also, I the gasket between the LIM and the block was really cooked onto the LIM, and I peeled most of it off, but there are still chuncks of it stuck on there. Is there an easy way to get it off, like poor some chemical on it? Thanks for the help.

I think a wire brush on a drill or dremel should get it off with no problems.

Oooh, bad news. Those little "air hose thingies" were actually the clear oil injector lines that go from the OMP to the oil injectors. They go for $25 a pop and you have four oil injectors (2 on intake, 2 on "block"). Order new copper crush washers and copper OMP gasket for those lines while you are at it...

Believe it or not, all those hoses under there were once nice pliable rubber. The heat and gas/oil vapors vulcanized all my fuel and vacuum hoses so badly on my 87 TII that they actually shattered when dropped to the garage floor! Gotta replace all that stuff!

-edit- oh, for removing gasket material, care must be taken not to mar the sealing surface. They sell gasket remover chemicals and scrappers; you can also VERY carefully use a razor blade and shave the gasket off being very careful not to gouge the sealing surface.

Those were oil injector lines and yup, gotta get OE ones...should be about 100 bucks. To get off that excess gasket...a razor blade, a steady hand and a little elbow grease...dont use a wire brush or anything like that.

Would those copper crush washer be included with an engine gasket and o-ring set? Cause I got one of those with my rebuild, and there are a lot of little copper washer in there.
