lights go down, but not up!!!
hi. i have had my 90 gxl for about 32 hours and all of a sudden, one of my headlights wont go up. i pop the hood and see that the arm connected to the motor is disconnected so i connect it and the light stays up. i turn the lights off and it wont go down. so... i took out the fuse for the retractors and i manually lowered it. then i put the fuse back and on go the lights, both are up. i turn them off and one is still up. i guess i can drive around with them up and they still turn on, but i really like the way it looks with both down, without having to manually lower it EVERY frikin time! plz help. btw my first post!

My 89 GXL did the same thing for a while, I would check all the wiring to it and make sure all the connections are tight and good. Also check to make sure that when you connected the arm, you connected it correctly, you might have put it in up position when the arm should be down or vise versa...

Do the manual ***** turn easily? I curbed my 7 a month or two ago, and both lights worked fine. Then one day one wouldn't go down (the one on the hit side), i leave them up in the winter in case of ice, etc. Anyways, it was as if the motor was jammed, it took a pair of pliers to loosen it up. It has worked fine since. I think some sand/salt got into the bottom since i lost the boot cover for the ****. Hope this helps some.
