Light Purple Wire tucked in Door Seal??

I was waiting at buirger king for a buddy the other day and I tugged on my drivers side door trim. It popped down a little and I pulled it off a little, then tucked it up. Then I pulled it down again a minute later... but pulled farther. Then I noticed some strange purple wire just tucked in there. I took a picture with my crappy phone and then tried tracing the wire. It leads down the seal, beside the dash, and towards the fuse box and crap. So, before I trace it tomorrow, does anyone else have this wire and know where it goes?

Icemark... are you sure it's aftermarket? I traced it today and it ends up going to some white connecter thing under the seat. Heres some pix...

Thats to the left of the clutch pedal heading towards the rear of the car

Thats the wire beside the drivers door jam

Same pic... just a larger view

And heres where it comes out under the seat. Like you see, it hooks up to that connector thing

And since it connects to that connector and is a normal wire color, I wouldn't think it's aftermarket.
But I'm not a pro and Mark knows a crap load more than me about this stuff.

Anyways, anyone looked in their 7 for this strange wire yet?
Like I said, pull the inside trim on the driver side and it's right there...

Definitely aftermarket, Mazda almost never used a solid brightly color wire. Also the clip is a different style than the ones used on our cars. Also an OEM wire would never be so carelessly tucked into the trim.
