Light break in needed?

i had to semi-rebuild my engine... had to replace all the rubber seals. i had a few broken oil control ring o-rings all the other seals are perfect and went back in their positions.

now, engine probably has like 15k miles (over estimate) on it. should i do a regular break in as if it were a brand new rebuild or just wait a few hundred miles for everything to re-seat, then have fun?

again only seals that were rubber, were replaced.

apex, side, seal and oil control rings stayed the same and looked brand new still.

Yea, I would definitely take it easy for at least 1-2k. Wouldn't hurt to let them water jackets expand and contract and seat well.

i'd give it 500-1000 miles to make sure its happy. it shouldn't need a break in, but better safe than sorry

I think it also matters if you put every hard seal back in the same location

This is going to be the biggest factor. If the hard seals weren't installed back into the same location i would take it semi easy for a couple hundred miles then have at it.
