License plate relocation

I was wondering if moving the license plate like this will affect cooling?

I did this cause the plate screws were chipping my freshly painted front bumper(the car is in need of a wash but yes it is freshly painted), which i don't appreciate very much.

i don't even have a license plate up front. Haven't gotten stopped either (knock on wood). I go to school on a military base too, havta go through a gate to get in and the guards and MP's don't say anything besides, "Those headlights still open up?"

You're from Canada - don't the cops ride moose or polar bears or something?

You are probably dodging glaciers and 20 foot snow drifts and such anyway. Why worry about cooling?

If it bugs you, put the plate on the front dash and call it a day.

Yes in some provinces you require plates up front. I'm still deciding on where to put mine, don't want it to block oil cooler nor rad.

I saw someone that had rigged it so his front plate was on a spring/lever. When moving the air would push it back and into a horizontal position. When stopped it would return to the normal vertical position.

I was considering something like that, OR, go JDM style and put it on the drivers side just under the turn signal.

not having it in the front will allow the police to have a reason to pull you over if they want to (suspicion) but if you are all good and clean, its just be a fix it ticket.

Personally I think the front license plate ruins the whole look of the front end.

I live in British Columbia Canada where a front licence plate is needed and no cops have bothered me yet.

Southern CA for me, same as magus2222, but they're right, it gives the police a reason to pull you over anytime they want. Hey, can I have your bumper brackets?
