hey, nice job on making that sunroof setup for an FC!
count me in if you haven't gone over the 20 person limit.
if so, when you make some more I'd pay $180 or so for one.
i think it would look good on a blue s4, and i like the idea of a sunroof over a moonroof.
can't wait to see the pics!

One more thing fellas,
I will be putting them on E-bay also because I know there's plenty of FC owners that are not in this forum. So If you see them go over over $180, don't bid on them because you can get them cheaper through me here.

Also if you could get some interior pics i am curious about how unfinished it looks from the inside. The stock sunroof has a felt bottom and hides all teh greasy track and cables etc. How much of that is now going to be visible and how bad will that look? They look very good from the outside and i am definatly interested in one for my 90.
thx

Sorry about the delay.
We might have a small problem. We went to a tint place to tint our sunroof and the guy told us that in extreme heat it will begin to bubble We tinted it anyway to see how long it will last without bubbling.
Our other hope is that the company making us the roof's can (smoke) them for us. They did say they could make them in bronze or titanium, but I'm not sure if in black. We will contact them tomorrow and find out if they could, and at what extra charge.
A few more pics

Looks Awesome
Very clean!
Can't wait to see how it comes out!

<edit> I'm not sure how far your gonna go with this project, but are you thinking about adding a piece to put inside to cover the sunroof? That way people can still enjoy the perks of a moonroof without having to switch back and forth depending on weather etc.?

The pictures look great.
I thought lexan stock was available in gray or skoke tint?
Anyway tint film should work with no problem.
The metalized type would be best. (We don't have to worry about laser speed detectors from above.)

Maybe there's a way to modify the existing trim panel and get it to fit up, or find one from an aftermarket or factory sunroof.
Good work! I look forward to the final product and pricing.

Good news
We went to the company today and they told us they can sell them to us "smoked". It's like a dark bronze, so know we dont have to worry about the tint. The guy told us he guarantes the sunroof will outlast the life of the car
The other good news as that we won't have to jack up the price. I will have make a minimum of 25 though to keep the same price.
My friend and I came up with a conclusion.
The first 25 will go for $165 shipped anywhere in the US
(canada still wating on price)
after that they will sell for $180
we will build one more final roof with the bronze tint, so you guys can see. But it pretty much looks the same as the pictures above.
BTW: It weighs 4lbs

Piece of cake.
I'll post some more pics when we do our next roof, and will include pics of the entire process.
PS: sorry about the spelling in my prior post.

The thing with paypal is the % they charge that sucks
When I bought my Microtech in the group buy, if I wanted to paypal I had to send an extra $50 I think it was. So I just sent them a mony order so I can save the paypal charges.
I'll find out how much the precentage paypal charges unless one of you already knows, can you please post it. I do have a paypal account if this is the way you prefer to send money.

depends, are you selling them via merch. account, or just as a regular paypal customer. They charge differently for both. BTW, I want one, but I want a dark bronze one so that it'll sorta match my stock paint.
