Would it be relatively easy to change out roofs (lexan and stock) every once in a while?

Well, the sunroof panel itself is held in place with six bolts. You could do it, but there's an issue with aligning the panel to be level with the roof. In order to adjust the height of the sunroof assembly, you have to remove the headliner--along with both a-pillar trim pieces, the sail panels, and front and rear pieces. It would take an hour if you've done it before (I've done it at least 3 times now). The procedure itself is in the Factory Service Manual, and it can be done by one person (removing the entire assembly can be done too, but it's a pain in the backside to reinstall alone)

Every once in a while would depend on how you define it. You can simply swap panels without adjuding the height of the panel with the roof, but there's the possibility of scratching the roof (if it's adjusted too low), or the panel not sealing right.

Asked and answered:

Quote "Correct, But it does bend. It will be made so that when you install it, it will take the shape of the stock roof. And seal perfect."

how thick is it?
also, if you made it for other cars (specifically s13) you might get some crazy sales.

I did not see if it was tinted?
(like maybe 20-50% smoke or gray?)

Also asked and answered: 1/4" thick.

As for whether it's tinted, I'm not sure. Go back and the guy's previous posts.

All factory & aftermarket moon roofs are tinted.

I assume this one is, but I couldn't tell from what's been written so far..

FWIW: The stock sun roof cap is domed, & this one is just arched.
I'm cool with that.

This slides back and tilts like the stock one right? I'd really like to see a latching system for this so you could just remove it and get rid of the motor and racks up there.

If you don't want the motor & rails, then you don't want this cap.
Just get a 2" oversized piece of 1/4" lexan glazing & rivet it on.

If the demand is there, we will make more. I'm planning on making 20 at first.

Tomorrow we will install one in my friends T2, and I will post pics of the entire install.

They're ready

We Did'nt install it in my friends T2 because he left to South America for two weeks. I'm on my way to my friends shop so I can install one in his FC so I can take more pics.

The ones made by the company where "lazer cut" and fit the car like a glove. They also supplied us with a much better seal.

I'll post back as soon as I can.

Hmm.. It's a tough call. I don't think it would look so hot on a car other than black/dark gray. Another problem is a lot of the times, I like to keep the sunroof shut to block out all of the sunlight from the top. If there was a way one could have a sun/moonroof way of doing things.. blocking all light, it would be even nicer. But I really can't think of a feasible way to do it.

It may be possible to make up a removable inner panel, like on some aftermarket and factory sunroofs and t-tops. My brother's 300ZX has those removeable panels, and so did my Dad's old Sentra hatchback.

Personally, I like the thought of letting more light in to make the interior feel less confining, and let me see the stars at night (while stopped of course).

That's a good question. From what I've seen elsewehre, It's already decently priced. But I'd be interested in two, as well.

I kinda feel sorry for ya, posting this and now you have well more than 20 guys interested, I'm sure. Can't wait to see the final product!
