He meant disconnect the fuel pump. It's behind the driver side speaker/shock tower. The only thing this would do is keep the pump from running. This will not stop your car from smoking upon start-up.
Is it gray/blue smoke? How much? A little bit is normal, but not a lot. Chances are your oil control rings are worn. This allows oil to seep into the combustion chamber, and burns off when the car starts.

I'd expand that lit to Kragens/checkers, winchester auto, Napa and an other corner car store.
The most useless car ppl work there. I'd like to know why people that work at a car parts store are so damn stupid.

i thought so.. but kragens carries our ngk! i was shocked when they gave me a set..i dont know if i should keep driving the car or just let it sit... smoking gets a little worse each time.... on really cold days the engine sounds like its running on partial rotor, until it warms up a bit then it drives/run fine..keep driving it until it doesn't start anymore or stop now while damage is minimal? any tricks i can do to expand the seals? also need new clutch and a new brake booster..

The main reason why people that work at parts stores don't know much is because there isn't really much training, they expect the people to know about cars. Also, remember its a parts store, we sell parts, not diagnose your problems.
And about spark plugs, up until recently, we didn't carry any NGK plugs to speak of. Now we have a small selection and I've heard rumor that we will be getting some rotary plugs soon, but don't cross your fingers. With the brake parts, if they don't stock it, they can definitely order the parts- same deal with the fuel filter. FYI, if you need front 4pot calipers, you can get a loaded pair for $85 plus a $14 core charge, they come with the hardware and lifetime warranty ceramic Morse pads.

I once had a guy tell me that he was a rx7 guru and then asked me if i knew how rotary engines worked. After I said yes, he told me a secret trick of his that could keep a rx7 going for another 50,000 miles at least. Because apex seals SHRINK, the engine loses compression, so what he told me to do was put gear old in the tube that connects at the boost pressure sensor and that will make the apex seals expand again.
This was after he told me he had a TII making 500hp at 38psi on stock turbo. After we left I told my friend to never speak with that guy again.
